Welcome

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Newark - A Tri-Cities Fellowship. If you have never trusted in Jesus Christ please read “The Way of Faith” . We pray the peace of God be with you today and forever more.
If you are close to the Tri-Cities (Fremont, Newark, and Union City), East or South Bay areas, please come and join us for worship and fellowship.
Our Purpose
“To pursue a loving relationship with God and one another by continual surrender to Jesus Christ.”
Our Mission
Proclaim the Gospel: To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with every person in the East Bay and support evangelism and missions through the SBC to our nation and the world.
Prepare Disciples: To nurture, teach and train all believers to grow in their relationship with Jesus through Bible study and spirit-led preaching in order to grow in understanding, encourage moral development and be equipped for service to others.
Worship God: To provide meaningful Christ-Centered worship where we praise and glorify God and renew our commitment to serve Him.
Develop Christian Relationships: To show our care for each other through sharing, fellowship and family support.
Our Plan
For 2009, we will be focusing on three areas for our family.
- Reaching Up - Worship of our King is Priority. Not just lip-service, but true spiritual and mental worship. To love Him with our minds, hearts, souls and strength. Our emphasis on worship begins with the Gospel and teaches us to grow deeper in His Word so that we might love Him more!
- Reaching Out - One of our core values is to “reflect the image of our community”. In order to do this, we must be willing to be a part of all peoples and nations found within the Tri-Cities and the East Bay. We will begin by focusing on our neighborhoods by being the hands and feet of Christ.
- Reaching In - We value family and consider the spiritual family of God the utmost testimony of God’s love for the world second only to that of a Marriage. Learning how to minister to each other ‘in truth and in love’ is no easy task. We are going to begin walking in a manner worthy of our calling and encourage each other in the process.
Join us, be a part of a body that takes seriously the aspect of ‘Community in Christ’.
